Home of the Hoki is the southern hemisphere, mainly New Zealand, Australia and around the oceanic trenches near Japan as well as the coast of Patagonia, as it prefers sub-antarctic waters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">While young animals live in depths of 400-1.000 meters, the adult animals can be found in depths of up to 1.500 meters. Hoki reaches a length of up to 1,2 meters, a weight of 1,5-2,0 kg and 25 years of age.
