Its meat has a pink to dark red colour, a firm texture and a lower fat content than farmed salmon. The different wild salmon species grow up to 0,6-1,0 meters and reach four to seven years of age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">For spawning they move into rivers and die after a few weeks in freshwater.
