Son habitat naturel est l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud, la Nouvelle Z\u00e9lande, l\u2019Australie et, comme il pr\u00e9f\u00e8re les eaux sub-antarctiques, on le retrouve \u00e9galement vers les fosses oc\u00e9aniques proches du Japon, mais aussi pr\u00e8s des <span class=\"hps\">c\u00f4tes<\/span> de la Patagonie, de l\u2019Argentine et du Chili.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Alors que les jeunes vivent \u00e0 une profondeur pouvant aller entre 400 et 1000 m, les adultes peuvent descendre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 1500 m. Le Hoki peut atteindre une taille de 1,2 m et vivre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 25 ans.
