As is right and proper for fish experts, our modern fish processing plants are directly located nearby the sea: Wilhelmshaven (Germany) and Wimille/ Boulogne-sur-Mer (France).

With more than 600 employees, our factory at the Jadebusen in Wilhelmshaven, produces 1.3 million fish meals per day while guaranteeing that highest quality standards are fulfilled on all our 10 production lines.

Gelmer factory located in Boulogne-sur-Mer was acquired in 2016 as a new member of the Greenland Seafood family. More than 200 employees are working full three dayshifts, on our 6 lines, to produce tailor-made breaded, battered and natural fish specialties while ensuring absolute flexibility and security of supply.

With a hint of creativity, qualitative ingredients and international experience, our in-house research & development team creates a full range of products, which offers innovation, food safety, a high convenience level and treat.

AliSa International GmbH, based in Hamburg, is the parent company of the production facilities in Wilhelmshaven and Boulogne-sur-Mer in France as well as the sales organizations in Bremen and Paris.

Greenland Seafood is part of Sofina Foods Inc., a privately owned Canadian company. By expanding to Europe and UK in 2021 Sofina Foods extended its wide portfolio including poultry, beef, pork and seafood manufacturing companies. Sofina Foods has over 13.000 employees operating 19 sites across Canada and 23 sites across the UK, Ireland, Germany and France.
